Seniors Home Security Program
The Seniors Home Security Program is a safety program implemented by the Government of Saskatchewan. The program supports low-income seniors and seniors who have been the victim of a break and enter or home invasion. The program provides free safety assessments to seniors and free installation of home safety improvements, to increase the safety of their homes. Safety equipment is provided and installed at no charge. Both seniors who own their own home and seniors who are renters are able to apply to the program.
Who is eligible for home security improvements under the program?
You are eligible for home security improvements under the Seniors Home Security Program if you are a home owner or renter age 65+ and:

How does it work?
The Seniors Home Security Program has a list of approved service providers who will perform a safety assessment of your home. If you need them, the service provider can install the following home safety improvements:

How do I apply?
An application form is attached to the program brochure or the application form can be downloaded below. To apply, fill out the application form and consent letter and include a copy of your most recent Canada Revenue Agency notice of assessment and submit all three to:

Upon your approval for a home safety assessment, a member of the Seniors Home Security Program staff will contact you with your service provider information. Simply contact that service provider and set up an appointment that is mutually convenient for your assessment. At the same time, they will install the safety equipment that you have been approved for by the program - at no cost to you.
