Today Lieutenant Governor Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart presented eight citizens with the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal at Government House. The Medal recognizes outstanding volunteer service or exceptional community involvement.

Lieutenant Governor Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart announced today the names of eight recipients of the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal.

Saskatchewan Francophones and Francophiles will join millions of others from all over the country to celebrate Canada's rich French culture and history during the 10th annual Rendez-vous de la francophonie, from March 7-23.

Preparation will begin today at the Legislative Building to complete the Saskatchewan Centennial Mural, Northern Tradition and Transition, painted by Roger Jerome.
